Endless Summer Boat Party with Steve Lawler & Audiofly (9/19/07)

The week started off on Tuesday at the Going.com Lounge at Chelsea Market with an art & music soirée hosted by Flawless Media (we love jen & john!) and Belvedere Vodka (we love free booze!). Four hours of open bar spells trouble, especially when you invite our crew. At one point Lisa came over and said, "jesus, this is supposed to be a respectable cocktail party!" Enough said.

Apparently Tuesday wasn't enough for us because we kept the party train going on Wednesday night, this time aboard the Queen of Hearts for the Endless Summer Boat Party with Steve Lawler and Audiofly. I wasn't sure what to expect for a random Wednesday night, but all of the DJs rocked it! Nora and I made some friends, made some enemies and *got carried away* -- it was an awesome way to end the summer! Pics by Toni and Brian Toia.

And last but not least... I went home to celebrate the birthdays of my two favorite boys, Anderson (4) and Aidan (1) and got to celebrate with two dear friends on their wedding day. Congrats to Luda & Big Willy Style! xoxo

Underworld & James Holden in Central Park (9/14/07)

Some 2,000 days after their last release, Underworld finally has a new album, "Oblivion with Bells." Lucky for me (an Underworld virgin!) and the rest of NYC, they are touring in support of the release and made a stop in NYC on Friday night. Me and a few thousand other party people got to enjoy an incredible show under the stars in Central Park. Simply amazing! I'll let the pics and vids speak for themselves (see below). After the show, Nancy & Chris cruised down 5th Avenue on the scooter with the headlamp and then the crew made a lengthy pit stop at Casa Alvarez before parting ways. Some were off to bed, some to Tenaglia & Burridge and some to Digweed. The highlight of the late part of the night was definitely the impromtu limo ride to Pacha, which was good for tons of laughs. Digweed bored me for the first 2.5 hours so I made an *early* exit.

BMC's 30th Birthday ::: Lord of the Flies Meets Putt Putt

Let's just say Brian is officially old, pork is officially good, Oscar is officially cute, rooftop Guava Cavas are officially pimp and my putt putt skills are officially bad. Good times were had by all celebrating Brian's 30th luau-style. Even Wilbur who served as both the meal and the entertainment seemed to be enjoying himself!

Blk Market Membership Boat Party --- Three vs. Terry Francis (9/1/07)

The Blk Market Membership boys, Taimur + Fahad, were at it again this weekend with a summer-ending boat party and afterhours featuring Terry Francis [Fabric, London] and Three. A couple hundred black market members gathered on the Star of Palm Beach boat on Pier 40 and set-off for a short strange trip around Manhattan. I spent the entire time on the upper deck where all four DJs played extremely well. Right after it got dark, Three dropped "Who's Afraid of Detroit?" and everyone went nuts - I waved my light saber, Eileen dropped it like it was hot and everyone else was jumping around. That track never gets old!

After four hours on the boat I went over to Le Souk to join the Sunday Session dedicated to welcoming Lydia to NYC and wishing Dale a Happy 3*th Birthday. We weren't really feeling the vibe so after a short time we decided to venture to Crime Scene for the official Blk Market afterparty. It was a DARK & DIRTY afterhours session jammed into a normal human being timeslot (10pm-4am). The usual suspects (see police lineup photo) were up to the usual no good. Dale, Betty and I were the last suspects standing and even we made it home before sunrise (for once!). Highlights: the dobbleKANGer spotted lurking in the shadows, the model I met on the sidewalk (whose kebab I tried to steal in the name of Fashion Week), The Tranquil Kaptain, a visit from my friend Melissa and the bar tab that never got any bigger. Lowlights: the 1hr+ wait for the boat to start boarding, the music cutting out 4x at the afterparty, my light saber getting broken at Le Souk.

One last Happy Birthday to Dale and Welcome "Home" to Lydia!
