Trentemøller Live @ Rebel (10/13/07)

I heard that Trentemøller's DJ set in NYC a few months back was a bit of a disappointment, but the live show was absolutely incredible. He and his band played for an hour and a half and I can say without hesitation, it was the most energetic and inspirational music I've heard in a long time. It had all the best elements of a DJ set along with the energy of a live band. Rebel's system was tuned to perfection, which made for amazing listening experience - Trentemøller's music is so layered and lush. About 20 minutes into the show, Sami and I made our way to the cage on Rebel's main floor and got to watch Anders and the band from the best spot in the house. Check out the bird's eye view pictures and videos below. The band played Jaydee's Plastic Dreams, Moby's Go as well Trentemøller's Moan, Always Something Better, Vamp, Snowflake and various others. After the live set, me and the UN Nation party boys (Sami-France, Askin-Turkey, Darren-Australia) hit up Sullivan Room for the last part of Evil Eddie Richards set and a dope closer by Amos (DJ Fame).
