Milwaukee Day (5/9/07)

It's not easy being a second year at Kellogg, especially on Wednesdays when nobody has class. We have to find creative ways to fill the day - the gym, golf, shopping, vacation planning... and of course day baseball games! Thankfully one of our classmates was motivated enough to organize Milwaukee Day 2007, a road trip to her beloved hometown. We boarded the bus at 8:30am and made our way to our first stop of the day, Lakefront Brewery, a locally-owned microbrewery specializing in handmade beers. We sampled the Eastside Dark, Cattail Ale, Riverwest Amber Lager and Organic Ale while touring the brewery and listening to snappy jokes from our tour guide. He even noted that Anheuser Busch spills more beer in a day than they make all year! By noon everyone was sufficiently drunk... so it was time to head to Miller Park. The weather held out and we got a chance to catch some sun, watch the sausage race (Go Chorizo!), eat some brats and cheer the Brewers on to a 3-1 victory over the Nationals.

After the game, we made our way downtown to soak up some more sun and booze. On the way, Matt and I attempted the Dirty Dancing lift (again) and then continued the eating, drinking and antics all afternoon and evening at Harp Irish Pub and McGillycuddy's. We had a near swim in the river, a belt spanking to Eddie's arse, a wild race around the bar, a photo shoot for the WOK cleavage calendar and a few other hysterical moments including Hegarty's attempt at playing a war version of patty cake. Support our troops! What a great day - thanks Liz!
